Natco to re-launch breast cancer drugNatco to re-launch breast cancer drug

Natco Pharma Ltd. is going to restart the breast cancer drug Albupax in its domestic and global markets quickly.

"The Ministry of Health remained termination of our license to manufacture drugs from drug controller general of India (DCGI). So we started to manufacture and launch it soon," Mr Bhaskara Narayana, Director of Finance, Natco Pharma, told Business Line.

Natco stopped production, distribution and sale of drugs in July 2009 in leading DCGI which states that the drug can cause liver damage.

Natco, however, argue that the process of testing for drugs should also be considered as Albupax a product based on nano-technology and testing is a complex process.

Natco previously entered into distribution tie-laboratory of Dr. Reddy (NYSE: RDY) Ltd for the sale of drugs in the global markets. "We will run it in our own domestic market, while global sales will be made by Dr. Reddy,''he said. The product was released in the domestic market in September 2008 (11000 rupees tablet).

Albupax can earn an annual income of 200 rupees kror on world markets in the country, although the income may be minor. Coupon Natco increased to 0.76 percent at 131.75 rupees at the end of the BSE on Tuesday.

Sanofi-Aventis Expansion in India

Summary

Hoechst GmbH is a 100% subsidiary company Sanofi-Aventis "SA in India. It owned 50.12% of Aventis Pharma India. He purchased all the holdings UrV group.
Analysis

I think, UB Group, which consists of United Breweries, Kingfisher Finvest (ZSE: FNVC-RA), and Makdauell Malyan Holdings Pvt. Company needed to reduce its debt. Sanofi-Aventis' saw in this an opportunity to expand its presence in India.

As I recently noted that large Pharmaceuticals to expand in India, or through cooperation or collaboration [http://www.glgroup.com/News/Relationship-between-Big-Pharmaceuticals-and-the-Indian-Pharmaceuticals-47143.html ], Sanofi-Aventis [SNY] saw this opportunity and took advantage of it.

This acquisition will increase Sanofi share approximately 60%. It would be surprising if Sanofi gradually increases its share in the future, the Indian operations, subject to the laws of India.

Prescription Drug Overdose High in Bay County

Pills have a healing power, but misused, they make you lose your mind.

"People buy them, they take more than they should and they get a euphoric feeling out of it," said the pharmacist, David Adams.

Adams acknowledges that there is serious abuse of dependency requirements. He feels that it is a problem if the pills must be kept locked at Adams Pharmacy.

"It's pretty powerful."

Drugs such as oxycodone, hydrocodone and other opiates can be fatal. In fact, the office of sheriff of Bay County reports 4 dead in past weeks, and 15 since January. It's like those numbers that Adams was put on alert.

"We use our own professional decision. If I think it's one of those pain clinics that is just dishing out prescriptions, I will not fill," said Adams.

It can spread rapidly through the community. According to the sheriff's office, a user can keep for themselves and sell the rest. A milligram is approximately $ 1 and that means 1 pill could go for about $ 5 to $ 10 million. This means they are available for purchase.

"Our Special Investigations Division, probably on a daily basis encounter people with prescription pills," said Maj. Tommy Ford's office sheriff of Bay County.

The sight of an overdose is frightening.

"A woman of 40 years was found with a syringe in his arm and his 3-year close," said Ford.

Gruesome scenes like that made the sheriff's office to take a stand. The sheriff has sent letters to federal, state and local government officials to help stop the disease.

"We asked them to do so and we have some indications that they work," Ford said.

The sheriff's office believes that the problem stems from pain clinics in southern Florida and the target is people in their 20s or 30. We hope their strong short-term is stopped before it is detrimental to long term to this community.
